Los Angeles, California (May 12, 2025)- Panamanian singer-songwriter Boza continues to chart his own course in Latin music with the release of SAN BLAS, a powerful new album that fuses vibrant global sounds with personal storytelling and emotional depth. More than a collection of tracks, SAN BLAS is a spiritual and sonic journey—an invitation to heal, reflect, and reconnect with self and culture.
From the moment of its release, SAN BLAS made a resounding impact, earning GOLD certification on its first day in the United States, Colombia, Peru, and Central America. Its success underscores Boza’s growing resonance across borders, anchored by his ability to blend genre-defying production with lyrics that speak from the heart.
The nine-track album features a masterful mix of afrobeat, amapiano, and Latin rhythms, unified by a deeper narrative thread. Hidden in plain sight, the final letters of the first seven track titles spell SANARAS—Spanish for “you will heal”—subtly tying the project to its central message: music as a path to transformation. Across the album, Boza confronts themes of love, loss, growth, and renewal with a raw honesty that sets him apart in today’s Latin music landscape.
The album’s centerpiece, “san blaS,” encapsulates this ethos. With trance-inducing instrumentation and poetic lyricism, the track explores love as both a sacred and primal force. Written by Boza himself, the song was inspired by his real-life relationship and a desire to publicly honor the woman he loves. “This is the beginning of a beautiful story,” he shares. “I wanted to tell her I’m only for her—to let the world know I’m with an amazing woman.”
Directed by Andrés González, the accompanying video brings this story to life in Gunayala, San Blas, where Boza is seen immersed in the Guna indigenous community. Filmed over two days on the islands of Senidub, Tubasenika, and Salardub, the visual celebrates Panama’s natural beauty and cultural richness. In connecting his music to this sacred place, Boza also pays subtle tribute to the legendary “El Muelle de San Blas” by Maná, which inspired him during the creative process.
The album’s standout collaboration, “orióN” featuring Elena Rose, blends seductive rhythm with heartfelt emotion. The track became a breakout hit, reaching #2 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart for six consecutive weeks and earning a nomination at the Premios Tu Música Urbano in the Afrobeat category. Another highlight is “todavíA” with Colombian star Greeicy, a sultry and reflective track that speaks to lingering emotional ties.
Elsewhere, Boza continues to delve into vulnerability with songs like “Erre” and “fluiR.” In “Erre,” he mourns the quiet end of a once-significant relationship, while “fluiR” captures the frustration of being held back in love by mistrust and miscommunication. “I wanted to give my best, but the lack of trust ended up ruining it,” Boza says. “That song is about the feeling of wanting to flow, but being unable to because of someone else’s limitations.”
Produced across Panama, Colombia, and Spain, SAN BLAS is sonically rich and globally resonant, yet unmistakably grounded in Boza’s Afro-Caribbean heritage. With influences ranging from street rhythms to spiritual introspection, the album reflects the complexity of identity and the power of music as personal ritual.
Boza’s vision for SAN BLAS extends beyond sound. With thoughtful visuals, immersive storytelling, and a clear intention to uplift his roots, he has created a multi-dimensional work that speaks to the soul. His ability to capture both the collective pulse and individual emotion of his audience places him at the forefront of Latin music’s next chapter.
SAN BLAS is available now on all digital music platforms.
