Believe has officially unveiled Believe Music Publishing, marking a significant milestone in the company’s mission to strengthen its global footprint within the rapidly expanding music publishing market. The launch follows Believe’s 2023 acquisition of Sentric, a move that laid the groundwork for a unified approach to publishing powered by cutting-edge technology, data, and transparency.
The new division operates with a network of 160 publishing experts spanning creative development, synchronization, and revenue optimization. With its global infrastructure and long-standing partnerships with collection societies, Believe Music Publishing is set to streamline royalty collection and ensure fairer outcomes for creators. The company’s integrated model connects publishing and recording under one ecosystem, giving artists and rights-holders access to shared data insights and new growth opportunities.
Chris Meehan, founder of Sentric, has been appointed as CEO of Publishing at Believe. Having built Sentric from the ground up in 2006, Meehan now leads the charge in expanding Believe’s publishing operations worldwide. “It has been an incredible journey to build the foundations of Believe’s publishing business,” Meehan said. “Our expert teams, innovative approach, and partnerships with CMOs and DSPs will help Believe become a leading force in global music publishing.”
Denis Ladegaillerie, founder and CEO of Believe, emphasized the company’s digital-first vision: “With digital now driving the majority of collections and the publishing market exceeding €4 billion, we are uniquely positioned to lead this new chapter. Our publishing arm now complements our leadership in recording, creating a complete ecosystem for creators.”
To strengthen its international presence, Believe has appointed executives in key territories. Ismaël Kané heads publishing in France, Alexandra Ziem in Germany, Sunil Gursahani in India and South Asia, Chris Dampier in North America, and Monthira Tunthagadh across Southeast Asia.
Building on Sentric’s partnerships with Cooking Vinyl, Source Audio, and Rough Trade, Believe’s roster includes Djo, Ms Banks, Don Broco, La Fleur, and Enter Shikari. With a growing catalogue and innovative infrastructure, Believe Music Publishing is poised to redefine how artists and songwriters connect with audiences in today’s global digital landscape.
