The moment millions of listeners wait for has arrived: Spotify has dropped its annual Wrapped campaign for 2025, revealing the year’s top global artists, songs, and albums. After a two-year reign by Taylor Swift in 2023 and 2024, Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has officially reclaimed the top spot, cementing his place as one of the world’s most streamed musicians.
Bad Bunny’s Record-Breaking Return
Bad Bunny secured the title of Spotify’s Most-Streamed Artist Globally in 2025, accumulating a massive 19.8 billion streams on the platform. This marks his fourth time reaching the pinnacle of the rankings, having previously dominated from 2020 to 2022. This global success was heavily propelled by his critically acclaimed album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, which topped Spotify’s global album charts for the year. This album was a major industry force, noted as Sony Music Entertainment’s biggest revenue-generating project in Q2 2025, and it helped the artist earn nominations for three of the Grammy Awards’ prestigious Big Four categories.
The Global Hitmakers of 2025
While Bad Bunny led the artist list, Taylor Swift still claimed the second spot, followed by The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish rounding out the global top five artists. The list of top tracks and albums showcases a vibrant year for music. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ collaboration, “Die With A Smile,” was named the most-streamed song globally, soaring past 1.7 billion streams, with Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” taking second place. In the album category, the soundtrack from the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters captured the second spot, demonstrating the powerful influence of film and TV on music consumption.

New Features for Users and Artists
Spotify didn’t just release data on Wednesday (December 3); the platform also rolled out several engaging new features for the personalized Wrapped experience. Users can now check their “Listening Age,” which compares their musical tastes to others in their age group, and view a “Fan Leaderboard” to see where they rank among their favorite artists’ global listeners. They can also try out “Clubs,” which sorts them into six categories representing distinct listening styles. For musicians, Wrapped for Artists returned, offering valuable data on “super listeners” and a Songwriter Pages feature for writers.
This year’s Wrapped is a clear signal that global music tastes continue to evolve, with Bad Bunny demonstrating the growing worldwide influence of Spanish-language artists and music. Dive into your own Wrapped to discover your unique “Listening Age” and celebrate the music that defined your 2025.
