AudioShake Co-Founder and CEO Jessica Powell.
AudioShake, an AI audio startup, just raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Shine Capital. The company is transforming how we interact with sound by making audio files editable, searchable, and programmable—even when they exist as single-track recordings.
Rapid Growth and High-Profile Clients
Founded in 2021 by Jessica Powell and Luke Miner, AudioShake has grown fast. Over the past year, it signed 40 enterprise contracts and boosted revenue by 400%. Its client list includes Universal Music Group, Disney Music Group, Warner Bros Discovery, BET, and NFL Films. Several of the Mag 7 tech giants—Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Broadcom, Meta, and NVIDIA—are also reportedly using its technology.

AudioShake’s impact spans industries. Disney used its tech to re-engineer century-old recordings. BMG remastered Nina Simone’s debut album, Little Girl Blue, with AudioShake’s help. Reservoir Media brought De La Soul’s catalog to streaming platforms, solving long-standing sample clearance issues. Sports leagues now use the technology to strip unlicensed music from clips and avoid copyright fines.
Technology That Powers More Than Creativity
The company’s technology doesn’t just serve creators. It also helps machines interpret sound in new ways. “We’ve seen immense potential for our technology to help machines make sense of the physical world through sound,” said Powell. This dual focus—supporting both creative and technical applications—positions AudioShake as a key player in audio innovation.
Distribution partners like Tuned Global and Synchtank are helping expand its reach. Investors see huge potential. “AudioShake is building the foundational layer that makes audio as flexible as text or images,” said Alex Hartz of Shine Capital. Tamara Steffens of Thomson Reuters Ventures added, “Audio represents one of the last frontiers of unstructured data… AudioShake’s technology transforms it into actionable data.”
In short, AudioShake is turning static sound into dynamic, usable content. With fresh funding and a growing list of high-profile clients, the company is leading the next wave of audio transformation.
