Los Angeles, California (August 4, 2025)- Apple TV+ has officially released the trailer for its highly anticipated music competition series, “KPOPPED,” set to premiere globally on Friday, August 29, 2025. The eight-part series is poised to capture the attention of music lovers worldwide by bringing together some of the biggest names in Western pop and K-pop for a series of high-energy song battles.
Executive produced by music icon Lionel Richie and CJ ENM vice chair Miky Lee, the series is led by two of the music industry’s most prominent personalities: international sensation PSY and Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Hosted by actor and comedian Soojeong Son, each episode of KPOPPED pairs one or more Western artists with a top K-pop group. Together, they reimagine and perform one of their hit songs in front of a live studio audience in Seoul, with the audience ultimately voting for the standout performance of the night.
The impressive lineup of artists is a testament to the show’s global ambition, featuring a massive star-studded roster. The participating K-pop groups include Billlie, ITZY, Kep1er, JO1, ATEEZ, STAYC, Kiss of Life, and BLACKSWAN. On the Western side, the show features a diverse mix of legends and modern hitmakers, including Megan Thee Stallion, Patti LaBelle, Mel B and Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls, Vanilla Ice, Taylor Dayne, Kesha, Eve, J Balvin, Kylie Minogue, TLC, Boy George, Jess Glynne, Ava Max, and Boyz II Men.
Viewers can look forward to new renditions of iconic global hits. The series will feature electrifying performances of songs like Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe,” Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby,” TLC’s “Waterfalls,” and Boyz II Men’s “Motownphilly.” As part of the series, the K-pop artists will also perform some of their own popular songs, showcasing the full breadth of their talent.
