Colombian artist and producer Annasofia is making a powerful statement with the release of her debut EP, ‘Primer Intento’ (First Attempt), which dropped on October 3, 2025. Already nominated for a Latin GRAMMY in the prestigious “Best New Artist” category, Annasofia’s project marks a significant turning point in her career. Far more than just a collection of songs, this six-track EP is described as “a honest, vulnerable, and courageous introduction,” reflecting the artist’s essence of starting from scratch with authenticity and without fear.
Celebrating the First Attempt
The singer-songwriter recently celebrated the release with an intimate and emotional showcase at ART HOUSE STUDIOS MIAMI, joined by key industry executives, friends, and family. The EP is the culmination of over three years of creative work, with each song representing a fragment of her inner world—covering themes like doubt, gratitude, love, and chaos. Previously released singles like “Humo,” “Solita,” and “Lo dejo fluir” are all included, with “Déjame Intentar” serving as the focus track.
The Core Message of Authenticity
The title ‘Primer Intento’ perfectly encapsulates the project’s core message. In Annasofia’s own words, the EP is her “first attempt at showing the world my truth. It’s saying: here I am, this is who I am right now, raw, imperfect, learning, unafraid of falling.” This message is the foundation of the entire body of work, which invites listeners to recognize the value of daring to take the first step, even without having everything figured out. It’s a celebration of showing oneself without masks and the beauty found in not having all the answers.
A Rising Voice in Latin Music
Hailing from Tuluá, Colombia, the 23-year-old Annasofia is a multi-instrumentalist whose sound blends the soul of traditional Latin music with contemporary R&B touches. She is currently part of the Art House – Universal Music Latino program, a development initiative led by multi-GRAMMY-winning producer Julio Reyes Copello. Having previously opened for major acts like Greeicy and Mike Bahía, and recently signed to Universal Music Latino, she is quickly emerging as a fresh and promising voice.
