The GRAMMY Museum and the Kenneth T. and Eileen L. Norris Foundation have released the calendar for several educational programs, performances, and honors scheduled throughout 2026, aimed at high school students and music educators.
Performance and Production Opportunities
The Student Showcase Program gives high school musicians from Los Angeles and Southern California the chance to perform for family and friends in the Clive Davis Theater. It is open to all genres and musical acts.
Ahead of the showcase, participants rehearse with industry professionals who provide real-time feedback. Participants also learn what it takes to produce a live event, including staging, lighting direction, managing the soundboard, and filming. The application deadline for the Student Showcase is December 5, 2025.
The GRAMMY Camp program, offering sessions from five days to a week, is for high school students eager to pursue careers in the music industry. It will be held in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
The 2026 GRAMMY Camp season schedule is:
- Nashville: May 31 to June 6, 2026
- Miami: June 23 to June 27, 2026
- Los Angeles: July 12 to July 18, 2026
- New York: August 2 to August 8, 2026
The application deadline for GRAMMY Camp is February 28, 2026.
Skill Development and Cultural Workshops
Songwriting Sessions are a free five-day songwriting workshop for students currently enrolled in high school in the local Los Angeles area only. The program provides fundamentals to build a solid foundation in songwriting and will take place at the GRAMMY Museum from March 31 – April 4, 2026. The application deadline is February 2, 2026.
A Latin Music Appreciation Workshop is scheduled for March 5, 2026. Led by GRAMMY Museum educators and professional musicians, this interactive program explores styles such as salsa, reggaetón, bachata, and mariachi, inspiring students to connect music with culture and society. Workshops are also available to be booked on another date.
Educator Honors and Outreach
The Music Educator Award, presented by the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum, honors teachers who make a lasting difference in students’ lives and champion music in schools. The 2027 winner will receive a $10,000 honorarium, a matching school grant, and an invitation to attend the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles. Nominations are due March 15, 2026, and applications are due March 31, 2026.
The Museum also noted that GRAMMY In The Schools recently held a Music Industry Career Day at South Dade Senior High in Miami, where artists and industry professionals mentored local students in partnership with the Recording Academy Florida Chapter, Young Musicians Unite, and Save the Music Foundation.
Entry to the Museum is FREE for visitors aged 17 and under, made possible by the Stengaard Gross Family Education Initiative.
