Debut Feature Follows Sold-Out Concerts
On September 5, Kenia Os’s first feature documentary “Kenia Os: La OG” achieved a full nationwide release in the United States a week after its Los Angeles premiere. The film, co-directed by Ana Nube, Gastón Etchechoury, and Kenia Os and shot by cinematographer Yann Puerto, offers fans of the rising Latin pop superstar a vulnerable but empowering inside perspective of Kenia Os’s emotional journey surrounding her two sold-out concerts at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes in 2025.
The concert feature, produced by Sony Music Vision México, is the latest project to be picked up by Spanglish Movies, who specialize in distributing Spanish-language films to markets in the United States. AMC, Cinépolis. Maya, CMX, and Showcase theaters offer screenings of the film in Miami, New York, Chicago, El Paso, San Diego, Atlanta, Providence, Boston, and many other U.S. cities.

Music Icon Expands into Film
The film and its personal themes mark a new but not entirely surprising step for the Mexican Gen Z artist who rose to fame with her albums Cambios de Luna, K23, Pink Aura, and her music short film, the Latin Grammy-nominated Universo K23. Kenia Os has become known for her large social media platform which allows her to grow closer to her dozens of millions of followers, many of whom have already come to expect changes in artistic direction. Her ever-evolving fusion of pop, electronic, and urbano genres has won her collaborations with artists such as Rels B, Peso Pluma, Danny Ocean, and Anitta. Expansions into other avenues of business and creativity are also common for the artist, having already ventured into activism and fashion.
