Los Angeles, California (August 14, 2025)- Indie singer-songwriter Maye has officially wrapped up her debut U.S. tour, Música Para Abrir el Cielo Tour, a 17-city run that brought her dreamy, genre-blending sound to fans across the country. The tour was a resounding success, with sold-out shows and expanded venues from coast to coast, solidifying her status as a compelling new voice in Latin alternative music.
The tour followed the release of her highly anticipated debut album of the same name, which has been praised for its poetic lyrics and intimate yet expansive sound. The album, an organic mix of indie pop, Latin rhythms, and nuances of bossa nova and bolero, captures a key moment in Maye’s career, marked by personal growth and creative bravery. Her music showcases an ability to balance tenderness with audacity, inviting listeners into a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
The Música Para Abrir el Cielo Tour kicked off on July 11 with a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. The momentum continued with sold-out performances in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, where a second date had to be added due to high demand. The strong response in cities where she was touring for the first time highlights the deep connection she has forged with her audience.
Adding an emotional and intergenerational layer to the tour, Maye’s father, renowned Latin GRAMMY®-winning composer Fernando Osorio, joined as the opening act. Known for writing hits for artists like Luis Fonsi and Celia Cruz, Osorio’s performances fused timeless compositions with Maye’s fresh, modern sound.
The tour not only celebrated her debut album but also served as a major milestone, solidifying Maye’s place in the Latin alternative music scene. Her talent has earned her a coveted spot on Univision’s “Artistas 2 Watch” for Premios Juventud 2025, which will be broadcast live from Panama on September 25. This recognition highlights her as a rising talent who is redefining the musical landscape.
