Los Angeles, California (May 18, 2025)- In a striking fusion of Colombian passion and Mexican artistry, Pipe Bueno and Adriel Favela unveil a bold reinterpretation of Carlos Vives’s iconic “Déjame Entrar”, breathing new life into a song that helped redefine Latin pop over two decades ago. The single, now available on all digital platforms, forms part of the visionary tribute album Vives con Mariachi, produced by Abelardo Rivera and José Luis Cornejo, and brought to life under the masterful musical direction of José Hernández, leader of El Mariachi Sol de México.
More than a cover, “Déjame Entrar” is a cinematic reimagining—a delicately constructed homage that honors the emotional core of the original while transporting it into an entirely new sonic universe. The lush orchestration, recorded between California and Mexico, features a stellar ensemble of violinists, trumpets, and traditional mariachi instrumentation including guitarrón, harp, vihuela, and acoustic guitar, each element contributing depth and elegance to the arrangement.
At the heart of the track is the vocal chemistry between Pipe Bueno and Adriel Favela, whose voices entwine with both reverence and expressive precision. Pipe, a recognized force in bridging Colombian music with Mexican tradition, delivers with the poise of someone not just interpreting, but deeply understanding the musical conversation. Adriel, known for pushing genre boundaries, meets the moment with a grounded yet exploratory spirit, revealing a new layer of his artistry.
This collaboration marks a continuation of the journey Pipe began in April with “Bailar Contigo,” featuring Majo Aguilar, the first release from Vives con Mariachi. With each installment, the album asserts itself as a thoughtful exploration of reinterpretation, proving that when approached with care and cultural respect, classic songs can evolve without losing their soul.
“Déjame Entrar” stands as a testament to the power of cross-cultural dialogue in Latin music—a bridge between legacies, regions, and generations. More than nostalgia, it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, identity, and the enduring resonance of a well-told story, now heard through the pulse of mariachi.
