Bandcamp is moving beyond its reputation as a digital storefront to solidify its position as a major player in online radio. As of March 27, 2026, the platform has officially expanded its editorial output by adding three new weekly shows to its Bandcamp Radio lineup, targeting Electronic, Indie, and Gaming music.
The Editorial Strategy
Unlike the platform’s existing “Bandcamp Selects,” these new shows are interview-led and driven by the company’s internal editorial team. This move signals a strategic shift toward deeper artist engagement and “human-led” curation:
- Indie Radio: Hosted by Bandcamp Daily Senior Editor Mariana Timony.
- Gaming Radio: Hosted by Bandcamp Daily Editor Zoe Camp.
- Electronic Radio: Hosted by Radio DJ Emily Dust.
Strengthening the Artist Community
By integrating its senior editorial staff directly into the radio format, Bandcamp is leveraging its internal expertise to “celebrate the creativity and diversity” of its artist community. For the industry, this represents an expansion of Bandcamp’s “one foot in online radio” approach, providing more on-demand surfaces for independent artists to gain visibility.
The shows join the platform’s existing metal and hip-hop programming, with new episodes released weekly for on-demand listening.
